About

DevInterview.AI is the all-in-one prep platform for software engineering interviews: interactive courses, a practice question bank with AI feedback, and live voice mock interviews. The courses and practice are free.

We're a team of senior big tech engineers who've spent years on both sides of these interviews.

Why we built it

LeetCode teaches you to solve problems. The interview tests whether you can solve one while someone watches, interrupts, and asks why. That's where strong engineers get filtered out: hundreds of solved problems, zero reps talking through one. Mock interviews with real people fix it, but they're expensive, hard to schedule, and you only get one shot at each.

So we built what we wished we had: an interviewer that actually feels real. You can talk to it any time, as many times as you need, it pushes back on your approach, and it tells you where you stand after every session.

What sets us apart

Live voice, not a chat box

You work through the problem out loud. It listens, answers, and pushes back.

Real interview environments

A code editor that runs your code, a whiteboard canvas for system design, and STAR-format behavioral.

Detailed, actionable feedback

Scores across four dimensions, a hire verdict, and suggestions that link straight to the exact practice questions and lessons to drill next.

Made by actual interviewers

Problems, rubrics, and interviewer behavior from senior engineers who ran these interviews at big tech.

Everything in one place

Courses, practice, company data, and interviews on one account.

Why is so much of it free?

Because learning shouldn't be the paid part of interview prep. The things other platforms charge for are free here: structured courses, company-specific question banks, practice with real feedback.

What's free: 19 courses and 95 lessons across all three interview types, 2,000+ real questions with company-specific banks, 600+ company profiles with concept and difficulty breakdowns, daily AI evaluations, practice plans, and your first mock interview.

What's paid: everything above, plus unlimited mock interviews and unlimited evaluations. That's what keeps the free side free.

FAQ

Three layers: free interactive courses to learn the concepts, a free question bank to practice them, and live mock interviews to test yourself. For the interview: select your target company, interview type (coding, system design, or behavioral), and experience level, then work through a 30 to 45-minute live voice session with the AI interviewer. You'll get a detailed evaluation when you're done.

Three: coding (real code editor with live execution), system design (whiteboard-style conversation with diagram discussion), and behavioral (situational and experience-based questions). Coding and behavioral run 30 minutes, system design 45, with the same detailed feedback across all three.

We support 5 major programming languages: Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, and C#. Each language has its own specialized environment with syntax highlighting and language-specific best practices.

It scores the same things a real interviewer watches for, tuned to each type: things like algorithm efficiency and edge cases for coding, scaling tradeoffs for system design, and STAR structure for behavioral, among plenty of others. The feedback points to specific moments in your session, not a generic rubric.

It's a real-time voice conversation, not a scripted bot. You talk through your approach out loud, ask questions, and it asks follow-ups based on what you actually say, the same back-and-forth as a real interview.

We use a simple subscription model. One plan, unlimited mock interviews, billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Your first practice interview is free, no card required, and every subscription is backed by a 7-day money-back guarantee. Check the pricing page for the options.

Start your first interview free, no card required. To keep going, pick a plan on our pricing page (monthly, quarterly, or yearly) for unlimited mock interviews. You can cancel anytime.

More than 600 companies. Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple, and hundreds more. Whatever company you're interviewing with, it's probably in there. Pick it, and the questions match how they actually interview.

Coding and behavioral interviews are exactly 30 minutes long; system design runs 45. You have a 10-minute grace period to join and test your setup before the interview begins. Coding runs in a LeetCode-style editor, system design on a shared whiteboard canvas, and behavioral as pure conversation — each in one sitting, in live voice conversation with the AI interviewer.

We offer 3 experience levels: Junior (0-2 years), Mid/Senior (2-8 years), and Staff/Lead (8+ years). Each level has appropriately challenging problems that match real interview expectations.

Your interviews and code are stored in access-controlled cloud infrastructure, and payments run through Stripe, so we never see or store your card details. Running a live interview means your voice and code are processed by our AI providers in real time. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it beyond what's needed to run the product.

Every session is saved. You can go back through your interview history and re-read the full evaluation from each one to see how you're improving.

Your first interview is free, no credit card required. After that, you subscribe to continue with unlimited mock interviews.
